FAQs

As our prices depends on so many variables, you must select an image or send your own and then select the material, size and framing (optional), you will get a total price from your selection.

All images in our online art galleries will be adjusted and/or color corrected by our imaging experts to ensure that the color balance and vibrancy are appropriate for the printing material you have chosen. When you choose an image, whether from our Bigstock Collection or wether you upload your own image to have it printed and framed, our software will determine appropriate and possible printing sizes depending on available image resolution. This is one reason that not all images are available in all printing sizes.

Suggested artwork printing sizes are also filtered to adjust to the underlying image aspect ratio. For example, if your image is a panorama, our web site will suggest panoramic printing sizes only and will not display square sizes such as 24" x 24".

We keep your personal image during the printing and processing phases, and then we erase it from our systems. We do not keep your personal images for longer than needed.

We accept JPEG and PNG format images up to 35 MB in size. Your images should use the sRGB or Adobe RGB color space. Most cameras are in one of these two color spaces. Our imaging experts will make any necessary color adjustments to suit the printing material you have chosen. Upload your picture here.

Our web site will calculate the maximum possible printing size for your chosen printing material and your image. For best results, we suggest that you plan to have an image that provides a resolution in between 120 and 300 dpi. Hover, for very large sizes, our upscaling software will permit printing large formats with resolutions as low as 80 dpi with good quality. Please note that individual results may also vary slightly depending on the chosen printing material.

Data, payment and warranty

You can pay your artwork and framing order by VISA or MasterCard, or by using PayPal. Our Credit Card transactions are handled by our payment processor Moneris, or by PayPal, depending on your chosen method.

Our imaging technicians use professional color calibration equipment to adjust printed colors so that they match those in your original picture file. Most images presented in our artwork gallery are well calibrated and will not need any adjustment, or minor color adjustments at the most. However, please keep in mind that your monitor at home or at your office may not be professionally calibrated, and may present colors that are different than the original colors in your picture. Having processed tens of thousands of professional photos, enlargements and large-format prints, our technicians will make sure your images are properly adjusted to produce a result that is sure to please you.

We offer more than 30 printing format sizes in many materials. Our printing formats are grouped by proportion and are selected to best match your chosen artwork image. If you image is square, we will present appropriate square formats that you can choose from. We also select printing formats based on the total resolution of your image, so that the printed result matches your expectations of quality and color.

We only use your personal information as is required to process your artwork and frame order. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we also use your email address to send you promotional artwork and decoration-related emails on a sporadic basis. 100% satisfaction guarantee

Customer satisfaction is our utmost priority. If you're not 100% satisfied with the quality of our artwork printing or the quality of our custom frames, contact us so that we can rectify the situation.

Whatever the reason, if you're not completely satisfied with our services, return your artwork within 30 days and we'll reprint and/or reframe for you at no extra cost. Shipping fees are not refundable. Please see our return policy for details.

We deliver everywhere in Canada. All of our deliveries are done through Canada Post or Canpar. When a delivery is done through Canpar, a person must be present to accept delivery. Canpar will carry out up to 3 delivery attempts, after which time your artwork will be returned for pick-up to the Canpar depot in your area. Artwork delivery lead times

Delivery fees vary according to the size (height and width) of your custom artwork or canvas, and also according to the frame you've selected and the region where you need the artwork delivered. Please add an artwork to your shopping cart to see shipping fees. We also offer the option to pick up your order directly at our pro photo lab on St-Hubert Street in Montreal. Please see our artwork shipping and delivery page for details.

Of course! If you live in the Montreal area, you can save on shipping fees by picking up your artwork and/or frame yourself at our pro photo lab. Our office is located at 5142 St-Hubert Street in Montreal, corner Laurier Street. Simply choose the "Self-pickup" option during checkout. Our offices are opened Monday to Friday from 8h30 AM to 5h00 PM. Please see our artwork shipping and delivery page or our pro photo lab contact page for details.

We put great care in wrapping and boxing your custom artwork and your frames, however, it may still happen that an artwork can get damaged during transport. All of our deliveries are fully insured for theft and damage. If you receive an artwork or a frame that has been damaged, please see our return policy or contact our photo lab so that we can resolve the situation.

If your artwork is damaged, please contact us right away. Please keep all packaging and wrapping, and if possible, take a picture so that we may see the damage and rectify the situation with you. You may contact us at any time at info@ytlab.com. Depending on the damage, we may elect to send a pick-up tag to retrieve the artwork. We will reprint your large-format photo, canvas or other artwork at no cost to you. See our full artwork return policy.

Production delays depend on what photo format and what printing material you have ordered. A photo printed on large format pro photo paper takes just a few days, whereas wrap-around canvas with framing may take more. Large format frames, especially for custom sizes, may take up to 7 days to produce. Each one of your pictures are printed and framed specifically for you. Yes. Our pro photo lab is closed from Christmas to New Year's day. If you order during this period, your order may take an extra few days to get printed, framed and packaged.

This mostly depends on your delivery location. In general, delivery to Ontario and Quebec is within 1 or 2 business days, whereas delivery to Alberta and British-Columbia can take up to one week, depending on the size of the artwork, and whether it is framed or not. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number confirmation so that you can track your shipment through Canpar or Canada Post. See our artwork shipping page for details.

We will gladly help you deal with tight deadlines or schedules whenever our production line can accommodate it. If you have to order artwork or framing in a very tight time frame, please contact us so that we may find an appropriate solution with you.
